LANDSCAPING

"Gardens are the result of a collaboration between art and nature." - Penelope Hobhouse

Landscaping around the entrance of your sign is a high priority when you want to complement your signage. Most times, the landscaping around a sign is adequate at best, and this below-standard treatment takes away from a sign's appeal. SignJive can deliver a landscaping plan that includes colorful plants, layering to exact varying heights, and positioning low-maintenance species to allow for proper sun and visual appeal. Contact SignJive for more detail on how this works.

Lighting

"Give light and people will find the way."

Lighting for multifamily entrances is usually a missing part of a building's design plan, or it is inadequate or non-existent. In many cases, your entry should take advantage of the power, and the low cost it takes to light it properly. SignJive can create a lighting plan that will enhance your property's entrances night appeal. We light the signage, trees, walls and ground to fashion a dramatic entrance your competitors will envy.

Irrigation

"The grass is greener where you water it."  - Unknown

Part of the success of any long-term landscaping plan includes proper irrigation. The right placement of irrigation at your entrance plays an important role in assuring that your signage lasts as long as it should. Often, due to improper positioning, irrigation sprays not only the landscaping but the signage.
If your property uses recycled water, hard water, or water containing rust and your sprinklers point at your signs, the signage can discolor or become damaged.

Inaccurately placed irrigation means your beautiful landscaping will also not grow optimally, or it may die, which costs you more money in the long run than if you had stationed everything where it needs to be.

SignJive plans ahead to devise an irrigation plan for your entrance that takes these issues into account, so your landscaping can thrive.

PUBLIC ART &

HARDSCAPE PLANNING

"Public Art can Tell the story of community spirit."  - Venue Arts

Public art and hardscapes do not fall under the same municode guidelines as signage and are in many cases are allowed with few restrictions. SignJive will do advance research to see what your local municipality will allow so that we fully understand what we can do to maximize your properties curb appeal.

Public art is not an art “form.” Its size can be huge or small or call attention to the environment it’s placed in. Its shape can be abstract or realistic (or both), and it may be cast, carved, built, assembled, or painted. It can be site specific or stand in contrast to its surroundings. Public art can express community values, enhance our environment and transform a landscape. Public art is a reflection of how we see the world - the artist’s response to our time and place combined with our sense of who we are as a community.

At SignJive, we take inspiration from Biophilic design concepts to bring architecture, natural materials, vegetation, running water and dramatic illumination together to create the most visually appealing multifamily property entrances in the industry.

Our designs aim to promote meaningful encounters with nature and an emotional connection to the earth.

Our fresh perspective approach to design means discarding the old ideas about how things should be done. Our imagination is not limited to our past experience. We use Biophilic Design concepts to push the boundaries and imagine something new, something never seen, something people will stop to admire.

Biophilic Design
How It Works

HOW IT WORKS

From complete sign packages to landscaping, lighting and irrigation, we can design it all.

We get involved early in the process while your architect creates plans for submission to the city, or as they are submitting revisions. Our signage designs, landscaping, lighting and irrigation plans are part of the early submittal.

By staying ahead of the project timeline, we eliminate the chance of a disconnect between the architect's plans and the ultimate execution.

Q&A

Q: Who supplies the signage?
A: SignJive designs, manufactures and installs the signage portion of each project we work on — including installation. Your finished product is 100 percent turnkey.

Q: Who supplies the interior property signs like pool rules, unit numbers, future resident parking, etc.?
A: SignJive handles every stage and aspect of your project. We do it all.

Q: I have a landscaper. Can they do the landscaping and irrigation portions of the project?
A: Yes! We would design the landscaping and irrigation plans and then hand it over to your contractor or landscaper to execute. We can supervise the landscaping installation if needed, so it matches our plans and meets our standards. The same example holds true if you have an electrical contractor.

Q: Can I have my sign company make the sign portion of the project?
A: Yes! We will work with your existing team if that works best for you. Ask our account manager for our rate card.

Q: I don't have a landscaper, lightning or sign company. Can you take care of all parts of the project?
A: SignJive can take care of the signage from beginning to end but only designs the landscaping and lighting packages for your vendors to install.

Q: Will you plan the landscaping, lighting and irrigation for my entire property?
A: No, SignJive only designs for around the monument sign.
